My artwork is unapologetically me.
Growing up with a broken childhood, I used art to sustain my humanity. In art I compile different aspects so I can create life, with every stroke. Especially when I felt like life was sought out to destroy me, I designed a new world. With how I have grown using art to defend myself and to communicate, my work and style continuously develops over time. Opening up myself as a person has made my artwork evolve in the last couple years. I am now using my artistry to scream (to be heard) instead of hiding behind the painting. Most of my work begins in some form of paint; I strive to paint women with an expression that can be felt more than just the surface I lay it on (incorporating water color, brush strokes, markers, and using my body as a tool itself). I paint confessions, poems, and inspirations from real women; I want to empower them with my paintbrush.
