To me the nude in photography is about endless opportunity and challenge to be a demanding, attentive, curious and honest creator. My model trusts me that as a photographer I can reveal their story through my artistic expression in a unique way. My own way. Sometimes it’s revealing the identity of my model’s form without revealing their identity that is very rewarding in the sense that I know I have maintained my model’s privacy, yet I have managed to tell their story without creative barriers.
I am not interested in photographing nudity merely for the sake of numbers and redressing the established balance. I want to stay well clear of following any societal trends, such as “more women doing this, more women doing that”. It’s much deeper to me and it is about offering my own view of the world, while constantly developing myself as a creative professional. It’s about my vision as a woman, my emotions and expressions together with those of my nude models, male or female alike.
