A Canadian teaching assistant, Kristin MacDonald, is fighting to regain her job after being fired for engaging in OnlyFans content, as reported by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

MacDonald, 35, was dismissed from her position as a teaching assistant after eight years of service when she received a termination letter from school officials.

The termination letter, obtained by the outlet, cited multiple reasons for MacDonald's firing and referred to her conduct in this matter as egregious.

MacDonald, who earned $1,000 CAD every two weeks, turned to OnlyFans to provide financial support for her family and young daughter.

"It seems very petty to me. It's so far-fetched," expressed the former teacher to CBC in frustration.

"In this day and age, we should be able to do what we want as long as it's not illegal," she added. "I'm not hurting anybody."

Under the pseudonym "Miss Ava James," MacDonald shared exclusive content on her OnlyFans account and posted a collection of revealing bikini photos on her Instagram.

The school district initially contacted MacDonald on April 28, requesting her to remove all accounts promoting explicit content or face termination.

"You're directed to immediately cease all activity and remove all online social media accounts, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and OnlyFans," stated the warning email from Terry Fox Secondary School. "Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, including termination."

MacDonald claimed that the school used taxpayer funds to investigate her OnlyFans content, leading to their decision to terminate her employment.

However, MacDonald is determined and has sought assistance from a union to help reinstate her position.

According to Randy Kootte, a union representative, "The union does not believe that Kristin's off-duty conduct violated any company policies or collective agreement provisions," as reported by The Sun.

"There have been mixed emotions about it," MacDonald acknowledged. "Certainly, there is disappointment. But I remain optimistic that the process is not yet over."

In a separate incident, Sarah Juree, a former Indiana teacher, was fired after her colleague reported her revealing bikini photos on OnlyFans to the school board.

Sarah Juree, 41, lost her teaching job when it was discovered that she shared provocative selfies on OnlyFans outside of school hours.

Reflecting on the situation one year later, Juree considered it a "blessing in disguise" and claimed that she made more money in her first month on OnlyFans than during an entire year of teaching.
